Birds of the Toledo Area

Authors: TNA members Matt Anderson, Eric Durbin, Tom Kemp, Steve Lauer and Elliot Tramer.

Published in 2002, this book represents an updating and expansion of Lou Campbell's Birds of the Toledo Area, published in 1968. The birdlife of the area has changed significantly since Campbell's book appeared. Forty-three species have made their first appearances in the area, and the abundances of many other species have changed markedly. In addition, the explosive increase in the popularity of bird watching during the past decades has intensified the need for this updated treatment of the birds of this area. This book is useful to a wide audience, including professional ornithologists interested in distribution and abundance, veteran birdwatchers, and beginners whose interest in these fascinating, beautiful animals as just been kindled.
