Binoculars and maybe a spotting scope are all you’ll need for this duck hunt. Sandhill Crane Wetlands has slowly become a birding mecca in western Lucas County. Each season seems to bring in new birds to this unique spot, but late winter and early spring is prime time for waterfowl. In 2023, TNAer Matt Anderson counted 7700 northern pintails at this location. Meet leader Brandon Brywczynski at the parking lot located on the north side of Angola Road. This field trip will heavily depend on weather and habitat conditions.
