Sandhill Cranes at Phyllis Haehnle Sanctuary
Saturday November 16, 2024
4:00pm
Make your way to Phyllis Haehnle Sanctuary (9066 Seymour Rd, Pleasant Lake, Michigan, 49272) and join leader Mike Sweeney to watch Sandhill Cranes fly in for the evening to roost in the marshes. Sunset is at 5:12pm so you will want to be prompt. Some years there are thousands of Cranes and other years only hundreds.
If early you may want to check out surrounding fields for small groups of Cranes.
As always, please check the TNA website, or TNA Facebook page for any updates.
Also, there is a nice Rest Area on I-94 between mile markers 150 and 147. This side note is mentioned because the facility at the Sanctuary is a single port-a-john.
