This should be the height of the butterfly season, and with good temperatures and sun we will see a nice variety of butterflies.
We will be trying a new area, Salamander Flats. Meet leaders Jan Dixon and Karen Mitchell at Salamander Flats, located off of Whitehouse-Spencer Rd. and Old State Line Rd. The entrance is on the west side of Whitehouse Spencer with a Nature Conservancy sign.
Bring water; wear closed-toes, protective shoes; wear long pants; and bring a mask. Be sure to bring binoculars because some of these butterflies are quite small.
This field trip is open to 8 participants.
