Sandhill Crane Wetlands project

Speaker: Alexis Sakas, The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) recently broke ground on the restoration of one of the largest remaining undeveloped parcels in the historic Irwin Wet Prairie. The 280-acre Sandhill Crane Wetlands project aims to protect water quality and restore wildlife habitat by converting it into a functioning wetland. Please join TNC’s Alexis Sakas as she explains the goals and timeline of the project, as well as telling us how birders and other nature enthusiasts will be able to access the property.
