Toledo Metroparks Updates with Tim Schetter
Please join Metroparks Chief Natural Resources Officer, Tim Schetter, as he updates us on Metroparks’ projects such as: Secor Metropark expansion and restoration; Oak Openings conifer management plans for 2024-25; Audubon Island restoration; controlled grazing at Oak Openings; research and monitoring updates which includes nonbreeding bird surveys, herp/small mammal drift fence arrays, rare plants, dragonflies, and raptors; and the Lights Out Toledo initiative.
In addition, Jay Wright (Director of Conservation Services) and Zuri Carter (Deputy Chief of Natural Resources) plan to attend.
*NOTE* This program is at the Secor Room at Secor Metropark with an Optional Pre-Program Hike with Tim to the Secor Expansion area at 5:00 pm followed by pizza.
