    A few hours along the lakeshore this afternoon turned up 9 species of ducks, both yellowlegs, Dunlin, 17 American White Pelicans (flying over Metzger Marsh, seen from the Ottawa NWR drive), Sandhill Crane, Common Tern, Bonaparte’s Gull, Snowy Egret and other expected species. All birding was done from within our vehicle.
