A YBFL was beside the maintenance compound near Starr Ave.–the 1st glimmer of autumn migr. A PEFA flew over P.s.

There were 8 species of butterflies: Tig. Sw., E.T.-Blue, Spiceb. Sw., Clouded Sul.(white form), Qu. M., P. Cres.(dom.), Mon.(subdom.), and Cab. W.

A dead Deer Mouse was on the or.(Bl. Sw.)trail.

But most amazing of all, under a piece of wood along the w. stretch of the blue(W. Thr.) trail, was a 5-lined Skink! It was brown but still had discernible stripes. Has this lizard been found inland away from driftwood and sand in recent years? It was the 12th species of rept. for Pearson.
