    7/5, my home: Much to my surprise, a TUVU was walking around on the grass of a vacant lot across the street. This is the 1st time I’ve seen 1 on the ground in an urban setting. A few min.’s later, another landed (its mate?). There was no carcass and the birds were obviously not injured. They were just leisurely strolling about. Do they need exercise walking on the ground now and then? It struck me just how much they do resemble turkeys in this situation.
